DISASTER PROGRAMS -
Offers assistance to disaster victims within our jurisdiction, usually those who are victims of fires providing help with shelter, food and clothing. Provides disaster preparedness training. No fee. Call for appointment.
Eligibility: Must be a victim of a disaster such as fire, flood or natural event to receive disaster assistance.
Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers are needed during times of disaster to run shelters and to provide safety and disaster education.

RED CROSS TRAINING COURSES -
Offers courses in First Aid, CPR, Pet First Aid, Baby Sitting, Water Safety through a learn to swim program, and trainings for lifeguards. Minimal fees may apply for supplies. Call for information or go to website. Most courses available online.
Eligibility: None.
Volunteer Opportunities: Seeking individuals interested in being trained to be a volunteer instructor or help maintain supplies for the training program.

Area Served: Chemung and Schuyler Counties.
