Abuse and Crisis Intervention Services at National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
Provides telephone crisis intervention services for individuals who are having suicidal thoughts and feelings. Can also help individuals dealing with the loss of a loved one through suicide. All calls are routed to the closest possible crisis center of the individual calling through one, toll-free, 24 hour number.
Eligibility: No restrictions.
Fees: No fee.
Intake Process: Call to speak with a trained suicide counselor. Veterans choose option 1 for a crisis counselor specifically trained to help individuals who have served in the US armed services. Chat also available, go to website.
